Big news in Ontario’s cannabis landscape: retail stores like Royal Cannabis Haus are now finally allowed to have clear windows — and we couldn’t be more supportive of this change.

This update is about more than just glass. It’s about transparency, safety, and community.

👁️‍🗨️ Safety First
Allowing visibility into cannabis stores increases safety for our team. Clear sightlines mean more opportunities for bystander intervention and a clear message to would-be perpetrators: you can be seen.

🏙️ A Part of the Neighbourhood
We’ve always been proud to be part of Bells Corners. Removing window coverings helps us feel more connected to our community — no longer hidden away or treated differently from any other legal business. It makes for a cleaner, more welcoming streetscape too.

🌞 Natural Light, Naturally Better
Uncovering our windows lets sunlight back in — and that’s great news for our staff. Natural light boosts morale, improves mental health, and helps create a warm, inviting atmosphere inside the shop.

🌱 De-Stigmatizing Cannabis
Cannabis is legal. Cannabis retail is regulated, responsible, and here to stay. Requiring shops to be hidden behind covered windows only fed outdated stigma. This change is a meaningful step toward normalizing cannabis and treating our industry like any other.
